In spite of how inflammatory the title might sound, this week's episode encourages us to use the language of the Bible whenever possible. Lisa lists five reasons that she no longer uses the word "headship" and is instead careful to use the phrasing of the Scripture.

Lisa also introduces a new show segment where she will recommend a book that has helped disciple her. She starts out with A Long Obedience in the Same Direction by Eugene Peterson.

In this episode, Lisa is actually talking about more than just modesty and lust. This is a conversation about how we should describe people's behavior in context of their own relationships with God and not in the context of the opposite gender.

In this episode, Lisa talks about what it means for human beings to be made in the image of God. How does that change how we relate to others and look at our work? How does that change how we look at ourselves? What does that mean for us as believers?

Old Testament stories might feel irrelevant to our lives today but they aren't! We can always see how God is working and the consistency of His character throughout all time. In this episode, Lisa walks through the story of Huldah with the hopes of introducing you to one of her favorite "unknown" Bible characters and sparking an interest in how the prophets weave into the narratives of Scripture.

To wrap up the beginner believer series, Lisa talks about walking by the Spirit. The two pitfalls of this life that we are called to are veering into liberalism or becoming shackled by legalism. How can we leave those behind and how do we learn and teach that?

In this solo episode, Lisa talks about realizing she was speaking lies over her life instead of the truth of the Gospel. She steps through three questions to help you identify your internal dialogue, evaluate that by the Gospel, and then apply the truth of the Bible to the lies you are telling yourself.

In this week's solo episode Lisa discusses the signs of a lack of discernment. It seems that most of us are clamoring for someone to tell us who's right on the internet and what's wrong with specific books. Discernment is a skill that all believers are supposed to be growing in, not one reserved for "elite" Christians. So she ends the episode with practical ideas for growing in discernment.

In this week's episode, Lisa explores a short verse in Romans 12 that insists we are supposed to enter into the joys and sorrows of others. But that can be really hard, can't it? Lisa finds that remembering that Jesus is the prize helps her celebrate the victories of others and that remembering she isn't here to be happy helps her enter into the griefs of others.

Phylicia and Lisa bring the second episode in the Theology 101 series and break down the creation story and the fall. Somehow they also manage to talk about evolution, original audiences, what it means to be image-bearers, new creation, tactics of the enemy, and the atonement. All of that in only three chapters of the Bible.
